Dr. Askouni

Dr. Evita Askouni is a Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon with 19 years of surgical experience. Her professional background is defined by her training pathway: all of her surgical training was completed internationally, primarily within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and established private centers in London and Stockholm.

Now based in Greece, she applies this extensive international experience at her clinics in Patras and Glyfada, providing patients with evidence-based aesthetic treatments and surgery.

Medical Foundations and Surgical Training (2006–2010)

Dr. Askouni graduated from the University of Patras, School of Health Sciences, with her MD in 2006. Following graduation, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue postgraduate training.

Her early surgical career took place in London teaching hospitals. Between 2008 and 2010, she completed her Core Surgical Training in Plastic and Hand Surgery at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. This period culminated in 2010, when she was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of England.

Specialist Registrar Training in London (2010–2018)

Following her core training, Dr. Askouni worked as a Registrar for eight years across several major London hospitals. This extensive rotation allowed her to gain experience across the full scope of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery:

• Charing Cross Hospital (2010 – 2011): Focused on Lower Limb Trauma and Head and Neck Surgery.
• Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead (2011 – 2013): Gained experience in Skin Cancer Management, Breast Surgery, and Abdominal and Facial Aesthetics at this specialist centre.
• Royal London Hospital 2014 – 2016: Worked in Paediatric Plastic Surgery and Trauma Reconstruction.
• St George’s Hospital (2016 – 2017): Focused on Post-weight Loss Body Contouring, Bariatric Surgery, Abdominal Wall Reconstruction, and Skin Oncology.
• Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (2017 – 2018): Concentrated on Skin Cancer Management, Breast Surgery, and Abdominal and Facial Aesthetics.

Aesthetic Fellowships (2018–2019)

Dr. Askouni dedicated the final years of her training specifically to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery through fellowship programs.

In late 2018, she completed the Wellington Aesthetic Fellowship at the Wellington Hospital in London, gaining exposure to contemporary Breast, Abdominial and Facial Aesthetic Surgery. To further her expertise, she moved to Sweden in 2019 for an Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Akademikliniken in Stockholm. There, she trained under Dr. Per Hedén, focusing on Scandinavian techniques in breast and facial aesthetics.

Philosophy and Practice Today

Dr. Askouni obtained her Title of Specialty in February 2020 and established Askouni Plastic Surgery later that year. Her practice covers a wide range of procedures, from non-surgical injectables to surgical procedures such as Blepharoplasty, Abdominoplasty, and Breast Surgery.

Her approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine and patient safety. Dr. Askouni prioritizes building a personal connection with her patients, ensuring that treatment goals are understood and that results are natural and harmonious.
