Procedure Options and Techniques

- Surgical excision: The surgeon makes a precise incision over the cyst and removes both the cyst sac and its contents in one piece. This step is crucial to prevent recurrence.
- Meticulous closure: The incision is carefully sutured using fine, aesthetic techniques to achieve minimal and discreet scarring. Depending on the site and tension of the wound, absorbable or non-absorbable sutures may be used.

Recovery and Aftercare
Patients can resume daily activities immediately after the procedure.

I originally visited Dr Askouni 3 years ago, requesting her help regarding a failed surgery I had with another very well-known plastic surgeon in Greece (unsuccessful removal of moles from scalp and back which resulted in infected wounds and keloid hypertrophic scars). She came across extremely knowledgeable, friendly and provided a thorough explanation of my post-surgery condition and how it could be treated. Unlike other surgeons, she accepted to take over the reconstructive surgery and I was utterly pleased with the outcome. She is methodical, approachable, caring to the patient and extremely skilled.
